The Rab32 antimicrobial pathway has been shown to restrict Salmonella Typhi, in mouse macrophages. The broad-host pathogen Salmonella Typhimurium however has evolved a strategy to evade the Rab32 antimicrobial pathway, via its effector protein GtgE.
