Abstract The volcanic island of Terre-de-Haut (in the Les Saintes archipelago, Lesser Antilles arc) is described in the literature as an exhumed paleo-geothermal system. Outcropping conditions provide a good, nearly horizontal 2D view of the system.

In this study polyurethanes (PU) are considered as solid-solid phase change material (s-s PCM) for thermal energy storage. Linear PU (PUL) and cross-linked PU (PUX) are synthesized using hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI), poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)

Many studies showed the interest of reinforcing composite materials with biofibers in the last decade. Producing more eco-friendly concretes, replacing synthetic fibers with natural and less expensive materials, is the main reason supporting these st

In this study, Hapke's radiative transfer model is used to verify the feasibility of retrieving the composition and grain-size of the ground in an open-pit mine, seen as a regolith. Such a tool could be useful for dust surveys and thus preventing pot

The nature of aggregates has an important influence on the behaviour of concrete at high temperature. The aggregates used in concrete are classified into two categories: siliceous (S) and calcareous (C). Most publications and Eurocode 2 Part 1–2 un
