1,3,2-Dioxathiolane-2,2-dioxide (DTD) was investigated as co-solvent for PC based electrolytes in combination with a graphite electrode. An amount of 10wt% of DTD in PC was used to form an effective and stable SEI on graphite during the first cycle.

The composition and formation of the SEI which is formed on lithium, which has been electrochemically deposited on a Cu substrate, is investigated by Raman spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Semicarbonates, Li2CO3 and Li2C2 are identified as SEI com

Methyl tetrafluoro-2-(methoxy) propionate (MTFMP) was evaluated as co-solvent for PC-based electrolytes in combination with graphite electrodes. Already 10 wt% (5.6 mol%) of MTFMP in PC were sufficient to form an effective and stable SEI on graphite

The salt lithium difluoromono(oxalato)borate (LiDFOB) showed some promising results for lithium-ion-cells. It was synthesized via a new synthetic route that avoids chloride impurities. Here we report the properties of its solutions (solvent blend eth

Plating-stripping and corrosion tests have been carried out at electrolyte solution containing lithium difluoro(oxalato)borate (LiDFOB) as a lithium salt. For comparison, also electrolytes containing other common borate salts have been investigated.
