GR 290 (M 33 V0532 = Romano’s Star) is a unique variable star in the M33 galaxy, which simultaneously displays variability typical for luminous blue variable (LBV) stars and physical parameters typical for nitrogen-rich Wolf-Rayet (WR) stars (WN).

FS CMa type stars are a group of Galactic objects with the B[e] phenomenon. They exhibit strong emission-line spectra and infrared excesses, which are most likely due to recently formed circumstellar dust. The group content and identification criteri

We present preliminary results concerning the O4If+ star HD 15570. Of-type supergiants are believed to represent an evolved evolutionary stage of very high mass stars (Minit > 40 M⊙). Their low numbers and extreme peculiarity make each of these obj

Median values of the fwhm and equivalent width Wλ of the C iv 581 nm, O v 559 nm and 465 nm emission lines were derived from an extended statistical analysis of WC and WO stars (Norci et al. 2002; see Table 1). We find that the C iv equivalent width

The Wolf-Rayet WO spectral sequence was introduced by Barlow & Hummer (1982) for four Pop I WR stars with very strong O VI 381 nm doublet emission. At the time, the evolution of very massive stars was poorly known, and their classification was based
