We have investigated the rich dynamics of complex wave packets composed of multiple high-lying Rydberg states in He. A quantitative agreement is found between theory and time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy experiments. We show that the intricate

Ever since its first observation, the microscopic origin of ultrafast magnetization dynamics has been actively debated. Even more questions arise when considering composite materials featuring a combination of intrinsic and proximity-induced magnetic

Using ultrafast X-ray absorption spectroscopy, we observe how a rhodium carbonyl catalyst is formed on femtosecond timescales and reveal the decisive orbital interactions which facilitate the efficient cleavage of an alkane C-H bond from solution.

The dual-laser plasma method has been used to record photoabsorption spectra of Tm, $\mathrm{T}{\mathrm{m}}^{+}$, and $\mathrm{T}{\mathrm{m}}^{2+}$ ions. The dominant process is $4d$ photoexcitation, giving rise to structure in the 140--240-eV region
