Degradation of the pesticide 3-chloro-p-toluidine hydrochloride (CPTH) occurred in a loam soil when applied at concentrations of 3.5 and 35 μg/g. The compound degraded according to pseudo-first-order kinetics, with a calculated rate constant of 2.74

The movement of radiolabeled 3-chloro-p-toluidine hydrochloride (CPTH) in a loam soil was evaluated in a column leaching study. Twenty-five-gram portions of the soil were treated with about 30 μg/g of uniformly labeled [14C]CPTH, and then incubated

Bluegill sunfish (Lepomis macrochirus) were continuously exposed to 0.1 μg/ml of uniformly radiolabeled [ 14 C]3-chloro-p-toluidine hydrochloride (CPTH) for 28 d, after which the fish were transferred to flowing untreated water for a 28-d depuration

Strychnine alkaloid was demonstrated to sorb strongly to several western soils that varied in organic matter and ranged in texture from a loamy sand to a sandy clay loam. Freundlich sorption coefficients (K) for the test soils varied from 40 to 169.

An aerobic soil biodegradation study was conducted with strychnine alkaloid to evaluate loss of the parent compound (non-radiolabeled) from sandy loam and sandy clay loam soils during 2 months of incubation, and to detect non-volatile products which

In 1-month-old sorghum and maize plants grown for 1 week in nutrient solutions with 10 or 100 ppm of the bird repellent 4-aminopyridine, fresh and dry weights tended to be higher than in plants grown without the repellant. Studies with 4-14C-aminopyr
