IntroductionWnt signalling has been implicated in stem cell regulation however its role in breast cancer stem cell regulation remains unclear.MethodsWe used a panel of normal and breast cancer cell lines to assess Wnt pathway gene and protein express

Pathways involved in DCIS stem and progenitor signalling are poorly understood yet are critical to understand DCIS biology and to develop new therapies. Notch and ErbB1/2 receptor signalling cross talk has been demonstrated in invasive breast cancer,

BackgroundModulation of cellular signaling pathways can change the replication/differentiation balance in cancer stem cells (CSCs), thus affecting tumor growth and recurrence. Analysis of a simple, experimentally verified, mathematical model suggests

CDK4/6 inhibitor resistance is common in breast cancer. Here, the authors show that p16 overexpression may be linked to reduced efficacy of CDK4/6 inhibition, and show that the combination with PI3K inhibitors may increase anti-tumour effects.

Breast cancer stem cells (BCSC) are presumed to be responsible for treatment resistance, tumor recurrence and metastasis of breast tumors. However, development of BCSC-targeting therapies has been held back by their heterogeneity and the lack of BCSC

Abstract Background The G protein estrogen receptor GPER/GPR30 mediates estrogen action in breast cancer cells as well as in breast cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), which are key components of microenvironment driving tumor progression. GPER is
