Multilayered cuprates possess not only the highest superconducting temperature transition but also offer a unique platform to study disorder-free CuO$_2$ planes and the interplay between competing orders with superconductivity. Here, we study the und

We report the experimental observation of strong electrical magneto-chiral anistropy (eMChA) in trigonal tellurium (t-Te) crystals. We introduce the tensorial character of the effect and determine several tensor elements and we propose a novel intrin

We have developed a pulsed magnet system with panoramic access for synchrotron x-ray diffraction in magnetic fields up to 31T and at low temperature down to 1.5 K. The apparatus consists of a split-pair magnet, a liquid nitrogen bath to cool the puls

Raman scattering and photoluminescence (PL) emission are used to investigate a single layer of tungsten disulfide (WS$_{2}$) obtained by exfoliating n-type bulk crystals. Direct gap emission with both neutral and charged exciton recombination is obse

We derive an analytical expression for the magnetochiral birefringence of a dilute diamagnetic chiral molecular medium subjet to a constant magnetic field. We use the single-oscillator model of Condon et al. [1, 2] to describe the optical properties

Magneto-photoluminescence measurements of individual zinc-blende GaAs/AlAs core/shell nanowires are reported. At low temperature a strong emission line at 1.507 eV is observed under low power (nW) excitation. Measurements performed in high magnetic f

De Haas-van Alphen oscillations of the organic metal $\theta$-(ET)$_4$ZnBr$_4$(C$_6$H$_4$Cl$_2$) are studied in pulsed magnetic fields up to 81 T. The long decay time of the pulse allows determining reliable field-dependent amplitudes of Fourier comp

The experimental investigations done in our paper Phys.Rev.B84,014522(2011) allowed us to establish that the superconducting fluctuations (SCF) always die out sharply with increasing T. But contrary to the claim done in the comment of Ramallo et al.,

A magneto-optical study of the 1.4 eV Ni color center in boron-free synthetic diamond, grown at high pressure and high temperature, has been performed in magnetic fields up to 56 T. The data is interpreted using the effective spin Hamiltonian of Naza
