This study measured the oxygen cost, energy expenditure, and heart rate of slideboarding at 3 selected cadences. Thirty healthy men, ages 19 to 32, did slideboarding at 42, 48, and 54 bpm and at a distance of 1.83 m until achieving a steady rate. Ten
