The field patterns in a metallic cavity can be described by eigen modes. These electric field modes are obtained by solving the wave equation with perfect electric conductor (PEC) boundary conditions. In this letter, the authors introduce the relatio

The research of chiral materials in microwaves is attractive in a lot of physical disciplines. Compared to the field of optics, where many theoretical and measurements analysis tools and techniques exist, in microwaves, the study is at its initial st

Here, the authors apply Lorenz–Lorentz and Maxwell Garnett homogenisation theory in order to extract the effective constitutive parameters of a metamaterial. The authors demonstrate the significance of extracting the polarisability coefficients of

This paper describes the design process of a 2D flat lens based on metasurface printed elements. The printed elements are modeled as tensor surface impedances to simplify the design process. The designed lens exhibits satisfactory radiation pattern.

The constitutive parameters of metamaterials composed of asymmetrical inclusions are inaccurate when calculated using Maxwell Garnett theory. In this study, the authors discuss some particular cases of metamaterials composed of asymmetrical inclusion

Electroencephalogram (EEG) has evolved to be a well-established tool for imaging brain activity. This progress is mainly due to the development of high-resolution (HR) EEG methods. One class of HR-EEG is the cortical potential imaging (CPI), which ai

A new design method called the array scattering method for a flat lens made of dielectric cylinders is presented. The method reconstructs the far-field radiation pattern of a 2-D arbitrary geometrical shape dielectric scatterer. Since the method has
