The study reported here presents a method offering realistic depiction of horizontal motion behaviour of agricultural sprayer booms and for reducing the extent of the simulation model involved. Additionally, various solutions of reducing boom vibrati

Residual stresses in fiber metal laminates (FML) inevitably develop during the manufacturing process. The main contributor to these stresses is the difference in the coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE) between fibers and metal in combination with

This article presents two realizations of portable systems for motion-induced eddy-current testing using the rotational movement of permanent magnets (absolute and differential). The methodology of calculations using a quasi-stationary and transient

Lorentz Force Surface Integration Method: Calculation of Lorentz Force by Means of Surface Integrals
Publikováno v:
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics. 55:1-7
We propose a novel way of calculating the Lorentz force acting on a permanent magnet when moved relative to a conducting specimen which we call the Lorentz force surface integration method. We derive surface integrals and solutions for these integral

A velocity-dependent Lorentz force evaluation is proposed to improve the defect depth estimation. Data sets of a specimen with stacked aluminum sheets and a cylindrical permanent magnet, with different defect shapes, depths, and two velocities, simul

Purpose Lorentz force evaluation is a non-destructive evaluation method for conducting specimens. The movement of a specimen relative to a permanent magnet leads to Lorentz forces that are perturbed in the presence of a defect. This defect response s
