Underestimation of raw material reserves contained in gold mining waste dumps results in tense socio-economic situation in gold mining regions. Efficient management of gold mine waste is only possible with the new and sound technologies of waste prep

It has been found that gold mine waste in the Amur River Area (Priamurye, Russian Far East) contains associated minerals of gold, belonging in the group of useful components. In view of the complicated nature of the mine waste, it is decided on the a

True magnetic-annealing effects, i. e., hysteresis loops with high remanence and rectangularity, with no increase in coercive force, can be induced in flat ring samples of bulk .015 cm thick polycrystalline Supermalloy at low temperatures by a new el

There is a growing interest in the effects of radiatio on the properties of magnetic materials, with greater activity abroad (on both sides of the Iro Curtain) than in the United States. While several of the papers are extensive in nature, reporting

We have observed 71° and 109° walls in single crystal TbFe2 and Tb0.27Dy0.73Fe2 (Terfenol) via the Kerr effect and synchrotron radiation topographs. A Terfenol (110) surface exposed to synchrotron radiation show ’’stripe‐like’’ domains wi

During the period 1963–1966 about 175 flat ring samples of Supermalloy, Unimag, Mumetal, 65 Ni‐Fe, and pure iron were irradiated with electrons. Energies and integrated fluxes varied from 0.5 to 2.0 MeV and (0.2–1.0)×1017 e/cm2, respectively.

MAGNETISM AND MAGNETIC MATERIALS — 1973: Nineteenth Annual Conference.
Five LPE iron garnets were irradiated in two steps to a total of 2 × 1015 n/cm2 (En > 10 keV). Samples included GdEr‐, GdY‐, GdYTm‐, GdYYb‐ and GdYLa‐IG's. Pre‐ and post‐irradiation measurements were made of l, 4πMs, Ho, Hk and μw. A
Several sets of permanent magnets, representative of commercially important magnet materials, were irradiated to integrated neutron flax levels from 3 x 10/sup 17/ to 4 x 10/sup 20/ epicadmium n/cm/sup 2/. In spite of this relatively high dose, Alnic

A variety of effects have been observed in flat‐ring polycrystalline samples of 5–80 Mo Permalloy and 65 Ni–Fe irradiated by 2‐MeV electrons at temperatures within the range of 70° to 170°C. For the Mo Permalloy samples, application of a 0.
