The goal of this research is to discuss the M/M/C1 queue with additional C2 servers for longer queues and balking. By using generating function technique the transient probabilities are derived in terms of the modified Bessel function.

This paper treats the transient solution of the non-truncated queue: M/M/2 with balking concept, heterogeneous servers and an additional server for longer queues. The queue discipline considered here is first in first out (FIFO).

The truncated interarrival hyperexponential queue: H2/M/C/N (in case of two branches) has been treated numerically by Gupta [1] and analytically in some special cases of both C = 1,2 and N=1,2,3 by Al-Seedy and el [2].
