Kaluza-Klein reduction of conformally flat spaces is considered for arbitrary dimensions. The corresponding equations are particularly elegant for the reduction from four to three dimensions. Assuming circular symmetry leads to explicit solutions whi

When 4-dimensional general relativity is extended by a 3-dimensional gravitational Chern–Simons term an apparent violation of diffeormorphism invariance is extinguished by the dynamical equations of motion for the modified theory. The physical pred

When the 3-dimensional gravitational Chern-Simons term is reduced to two dimensions a dilaton-like gravity theory emerges. Its solutions involve kinks, which therefore describe 3-dimensional, conformally flat spaces.
