The neutron gyromagnetic ratio has been measured relative to that of the 199Hg atom with an uncertainty of 0.8 ppm. We employed an apparatus where ultracold neutrons and mercury atoms are stored in the same volume and report the result γn/γHg=3.842

The differential cross sections for the n+d elastic scattering and for the 2H(n,np)n break-up reaction in the np quasi-free scattering configuration was measured at 67 MeV. The experimental data are compared with results of the calculations based on

The vector analyzing power Ay for the reaction 1 H ( n , γ) 2 H has been measured at five angles between 60° and 140° in the lab at an incident neutron energy of 67.7 MeV. The measurement is of a presision never before acheived (ΔAy ⩽ 0.01, sta

We present data on the differential cross section for neutron-proton scattering for an incident neutron energy of 67 MeV. These data allow a precise determination of the 1P1 phase which, in phase-shift analyses, is strongly correlated with the S-D am

We have measured the differential cross section dσ/dΩ, the analyzing power Ay and the depolarization parameter D for p-6Li elastic scattering at 72 MeV. The spin/isospin character of this transition and the large spinflip effects observed make p-6L

An instrument on the polar ERS-1 satellite failed following a transient high current consumption. The failure was found to have occurred close to the center of the South Atlantic Anomaly. Ground test showed certain memories to be sensitive to proton-

We have measured the spin-dependent total cross-section difference Δσ L in neutron-proton scattering at 66 MeV which is highly sensitive to the 3 S 1 - 3 D 1 mixing parameter e 1 . The result Δσ L = −(26.5 ± 1.2 ± 1.6) mb is in good agreement

The angular distribution of the analyzing power A y for the 2 H( n , np)n breakup reaction at 67 MeV was measured in two kinematical regions: np quasi-free scattering and np final-state interaction. The results are compared with rigorous three-nucleo
