The modulated microwave absorption in YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7−δ thin films was studied as a function of temperature, modulation amplitude, and microwave power. The comparative nature of weak links in YBaCuO thin films, ceramics, and powders is discussed.

Magnetic-field-dependent non-resonant microwave absorption in thin film samples of various high- T c superconductors is reported. Complex types of signals were observed as the temperature was lowered from T c to ≈ 10 K. Possible correlation between

The evolution of the programmed defect-state distributions in intrinsic hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) due to light soaking was qualitatively determined from charge deep-level transient spectroscopy. The defect-state distribution in a-Si:H w

Critical superconducting properties in 100nm MgB2 film are investigated and examined in comparison with our previous results in 10nm and 50nm films. MgB2 films were prepared by sequential evaporation of boron and magnesium on SiC-buffered Si substrat

Photothermal deflection spectroscopy (PDS) measurements on doping-modulated multilayers of a-Si : H show that the measured width of the absorption due to band tails increases as the relative intrinsic layer thickness decreases. This increased width i

The large magnetic‐field‐dependent ac absorption in superconducting Y1 Ba2 Cu3 Oy ceramics and powders decreases slowly with increasing frequency in the range 2–16 MHz. The magnetic‐field‐dependent ac absorption is observed below Tc in supe

A model is presented for the field dependent microwave absorption in high T c superconductors; fluxon motion in Josephson juctions and in bulk material causes the absorption. Junction dissipation is demonstrated by microwave induced dc voltage across

We report measurements of an apparent magnetic-field-dependent absorption (imaginary part of the a.c. magnetic susceptibility) in superconducting Y1Ba2Cu3O7 ceramics and crystals. The absorption, which is observed over a wide range of frequencies but
