We have measured the energies and intensities of prompt γ-rays from 206Pb that follow neutron emission from muonic 207Pb. For the levels at 803, 1704 and 2648 keV we deduce muonic isomer shifts. By comparing the relative and absolute yields of the

We have measured the energies and intensities of delayed γ-rays from 207,201Tl following muon capture on 207Pb. Probabilities for the emission of 0–6 neutrons have been deduced. Measured and predicted neutron multiplicities (based on an impulse ap

The muonic isomer shifts of three transitions between levels of /sup 207/Pb have been measured. Evidence is found for an interaction between the anomalous magnetic moment of the neutron hole and the electric field of the 1s muon. The agreement obtain

Isomer shifts in the doublet 5 2 + , 7 2 + levels in muonic 207 Pb have been measured. The shifts are essentially the same as in the core 3 − collective state. They support the hypothesis that the octupole vibration does not conserve volume.

A probability of roughly 1% has been measured for the formation of the first excited state of 201Tl following muon capture on 207Pb. A probability of this magnitude for 6 neutron may indicate structure in the nuclear excitation function near 54 MeV.

Muon capture on 207 Pb to the first excited state of 207 Tl has been detected in a delayed gamma ray experiment with a probability of 7.9 ± 1.4% per μ capture. This experiment is the first to observe muon capture to an excited state of the isobar o

A safety analysis was performed to assess the relative hazard of compressed natural gas (CNG) fueled vehicles traveling on various tunnels and bridges in New York City. The study considered those hazards arising from the release of fuel from CNG vehi
