In this paper we report the evaluation of an optical lattice clock based on neutral mercury with a relative uncertainty of $1.7\times {10}^{-16}$ . Comparing this characterized frequency standard to a ^133 Cs atomic fountain we determine the absolute

Preservation of the photon statistics of quantum states of light upon frequency conversion is of great importance for modern quantum optics. For example, it holds the key to practical implementation of systems such as quantum networks which often req
Many fields such as bio-spectroscopy and photochemistry often require sources of vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) pulses featuring a narrow linewidth and tunable over a wide frequency range. However, the majority of available VUV light sources do not simulta

A Raman comb emending down to 140 nm in the vacuum UV is generated in hydrogen-filled hollow-core photonic ciystal fiber pumped simultaneously by visible and UV pulses obtained from a compact 1030 nm pump laser.

Selective detection and chemical analysis of trace gases at concentration levels of parts per million (ppm) and below is of critical importance in environmental monitoring [1] and medicine [2]. Spectroscopic techniques offer high gas-type selectivity

We report CARS in hollow-core gas-filled PCF. The results pave the way to single-shot broadband (>4000 cm−1) CARS under ambient conditions. A detection limit of 300 ppm was reached with 200 mW overall laser power.

We report coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) in a gas-filled single-ring hollow-core photonic crystal fiber (SR-PCF) using a pump-probe configuration. The long collinear path length offered by an SR-PCF strongly enhances the efficiency of

We describe the development of an optical lattice clock based on mercury and the results obtained since the 7 th SFSM. We briefly present a new solution for the cooling laser system and an improved lattice trap that allows us to interrogate a few tho
