Cap partitions of the Segre variety S1,3

We prove that the Segre variety I1,3 of PG(7,q>) can be partitioned into caps of size (q4- 1)/(q- 1). It can also be partitioned into three-dimensional elliptic quadrics or into twisted cubics.
