The growth of CdTe epilayers on GaAs has been explored as a potential buffer layer for the fabrication of CMT/CdTe/GaAs structures on silicon substrates. CdTe layers were deposited by molecular beam epitaxy onto GaAs(100) specimens transferred into t

A technique is described that enables small wedge angles to be measured. The technique uses a Nomarski interferometer and is well suited to the measurement of the angle laps that are used to determine the thickness of semiconductor layers.
