Visible vortex beams have a large array of applications; however, the sources are often large or complex. Here, we present a compact vortex source with red, orange, and dual wavelength emission. This Pr:Waterproof Fluoro-Aluminate Glass fiber laser u

We demonstrate, for the first time to the best of our knowledge, the direct generation of higher-order Laguerre–Gaussian (LG) petal modes, formed of the coherent superposition of positive and negative LG modes with the topological charge of ± ℓ

In response to growing demand from optical vortex (OV) beam applications, numerous generation techniques have been developed competing in power scalability, purity, and wavelength flexibility. Direct vortex emission from lasers typically grants acces

High-power vortex light generated directly from lasers will help drive their applications in material processing, optical manipulation, levitation, particle acceleration, and communications, but limited power has been achieved to date. In this work,

Many vortex-generation techniques have been developed to address a range of potential applications, exploiting their unique amplitude and phase profiles and their possession of orbital angular momentum. In this work, we present what may be the simple
Results of the Model Unspecific Search in CMS (MUSiC), using proton-proton collision data recorded at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1), are presented. The MUSiC analysis searches f

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a new method for laser intra-cavity spin-orbit conversion with a q-plate. The Nd:YVO4 laser yielded a high quality LG01 output. We observed a self-adapting resonator that minimized high-order radial modes.
