As aqueous model ice is used extensively in ice tanks tests on the performance of ship hulls in sheet ice, it is imperative that such model ice replicate the main flexural strength behavior of sheets of sea ice and freshwater ice. Ice tanks use vario

Machine learning and statistical tools are applied to identify how parameters, such as temperature, influence peak stress and ice behavior. To enable the analysis, a common and small scale experimental data base is established.

Topographic scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) images of epitaxial single layer graphene on the Rh(111) surface reveal that extended single crystalline graphene domains are produced without any defects on a large scale. High resolution imaging shows

Here we report spin- and angle-resolved photoemission studies of the inert graphene layer formed on the surface of a ferromagnetic material, Ni(111). X-ray photoemission and spin-resolved spectroscopy of secondary electrons reveal that graphene behav

Here we report the photoemission studies of intercalation process of Fe underneath graphene layer on Ni(111). The process of intercalation was monitored via XPS of corresponding core levels and UPS of the graphene-derived $\pi$ states in the valence
