A phytochemical constituent investigation of the bark of Ptychopetalum olacoides led to the isolation of three new diterpenoides, named ptycholactone (1), 3(R)-hydroxysarcopetaloic acid (2), and 2β,3β-dihydroxylabda-8(17),12(13),14(15)-triene (3).
