In this paper we establish a result in the fixed point theory of multivalued mappings. This is done by combining three prevalent trends in fixed point theory. Some consequences of the main theorem are discussed. We also provide an illustrative exampl

In this paper, we study a fixed point problem for certain rational contractions on γ-complete metric spaces. Uniqueness of the fixed point is obtained under additional conditions. The Ulam–Hyers–Rassias stability of the problem is investigated.

The Banach Contraction Mapping Principle has many generalizations and extensions in different directions. Here we define $$(\varepsilon,\psi)$$ -Uniformly Local Weak Contractions and show that these mappings admit unique fixed points. We obtain a gen

Hovering insects are adapted for high metabolism. Their physiology, morphology, and flight have similar scaling relations. However, there are differences in efficiency. For instance, bumblebees have superior efficiency over orchid bees. Here, we prop

Birds form groups to survive in long-distance flight. Since birds trace the wakes of their leaders in formation, we hypothesize that mechanistic signal transmission through wakes is universal. We use aerodynamics to identify these signals and elucida

In recent times there have been two prominent trends in metric fixed point theory. One is the use of weak contractive inequalities and the other is the use of binary relations. Combining the two trends, in this paper we establish a relation-theoretic

Pure helical or screw flow presents a unique combination of zero net advection, alignment of vorticity dissipation with vorticity field, and maximal helicity. Helicity is a measure of knottedness in a flow structure as manifested in terms of a net im
