Properties and amino terminal part sequence of extracellular alpha-amylase from Streptomyces rimosus

During the process of oxytetracycline production S. rimosus excretes into the medium hydrolytic enzymes among which proteases, amylase and DNases were detected. A procedure for the concomitant isolation of alpha-amylase and DNase has been elaborated.
