Optical frequency-comb spectroscopy has proven a very useful tool for high-resolution molecular spectroscopy. Frequency combs based on quantum-cascade lasers (QCL) offer the possibility to easily explore the mid-infrared spectral range (4 µm to 12

Optical frequency comb spectroscopy has proven an indispensable tool for high-resolution spectroscopy. QCL frequency combs offer the possibility to explore the mid-infrared spectral range. However, they suffer from large repetition frequencies which

We present a step-sweep interleaving mode of quantum cascade laser dual-comb spectroscopy. The frequency accuracy and resolution are accurately characterized. The microsecond time-resolution allows to study the dynamics of cold molecular beams.

A dual-frequency-comb spectrometer based on two quantum-cascade lasers is applied to kinetics studies of formaldehyde (HCHO) in a shock tube. Multispectral absorption measurements are carried out in a broad spectral range of 1740–1790 cm–1 at tem

The kinetic analysis of irreversible protein reactions requires an analytical technique that provides access to time-dependent infrared spectra in a single shot. Here, we present a spectrometer based on dual-frequency-comb spectroscopy using mid-infr

We present efficient quantum cascade laser frequency combs at 6 pm, operating from -20°C to 50°C, with a maximum total (two facets) output power of 520 mW. The dispersion of the waveguide is carefully engineered with the help of plasmonic-waveguide

Studies of ion-molecule reactions at low temperatures are difficult because stray electric fields in the reaction volume affect the kinetic energy of charged reaction partners. We describe a new experimental approach to study ion-molecule reactions a
