Bioluminescent imaging (BLI) of cells expressing luciferase is a valuable noninvasive technique for investigating molecular events and tumor dynamics in the living animal. Current usage is often limited to planar imaging, but tomographic imaging can

Bioluminescence imaging (BLI) is a highly sensitive tool for visualizing tumors, neoplastic development, metastatic spread, and response to therapy. Although BLI has engendered much excitement due to its apparent simplicity and ease of implementation

A lens-coupled electron multiplying charge-coupled device (EMCCD)-based gamma camera capable of performing photon counting for both 99mTc and 125I sources has been constructed. This system differs from previous EMCCD-based gamma cameras by using lens

Controversy exists regarding the effect of fluoride on human osteoblast proliferation. To learn more of the cellular action of fluoride, we chose the clonal osteoblast cell line HOS TE85 as a model system. In these phenotypically osteoblast-like cell

We present a practical method for radioactivity distribution analysis in small-animal tumors and organs using positron emission tomography imaging with a calibrated source of known activity and size in the field of view. We reconstruct the imaged mou
