In 2021 the organic area exceeded the previous year and the year before. Organic land accounted for 23% of the total agricultural land in Estonia and reached 229,400 ha – an increase of 5,587 ha compared to the year before.

In 2020, 22% (223 813 ha) of all agricultural land in Estonia was organic. There were 2050 organic farms, 1133 of which also kept animals. In addition, 447 271 ha of natural areas were used for wild collection.
