Dispersal gradient and the maximum distance that spores of M. fructicola can spread allow the quantification of the relative risk of disease spread from spores originating from local or distant sources. This study aims to estimate the M. fructicola c

Real-time PCR methods were developed to quantify the frequency of SDHC-H134R and SDHB-H277Y mutants associated with succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors (SDHI) resistance in Alternaria populations from pistachio. The linearity of the standard curves de

Despite the resistance problems in Monilinia fructicola, demethylation inhibitor fungicides (DMIs) are still effective for the disease management of brown rot in commercial stone fruit orchards in Brazil. This study aims to investigate the sensitivit

In 2016 and 2017, we have constantly recovered a fungus with typical biconical (diamond shaped) conidia from pistachio fruit (cv. Kerman) received from Cochise County, Arizona, United States. Morphological and molecular characterization identified th

In this study, we investigated the sensitivity components of demethylation fungicide inhibitors (DMI-tebuconazole) for two different sensitivity genotypes of Monilinia fructicola (G461S mutants and wild-type isolates). These components included the f

During 2015 and 2016, we detected blighted leaves of pistachio (Pistacia vera) trees in different orchards in Arizona (USA). A Phoma-like species was isolated from pycnidia that appeared embedded in the leaf tissue. The pathogen was identified by mea
