Mountain ecosystems are sensitive indicators of climate change. Long-term studies may be extremely useful in assessing the responses of high-elevation ecosystems to climate change and other anthropogenic drivers. Mountain research sites within the LT

We use the transverse-momentum dependence of the cross section for diffractive dissociation of high energy pions to two jets to study some non-perturbative Light-Cone wave functions of the pion. We compare the predictions for this distribution by Gau

We apply the subtraction method to an effective QCD-inspired model, which includes the Coulomb plus a zero-range hyperfine interactions, to define a renormalized Hamiltonian for mesons. The spectrum of the renormalized Hamiltonian agrees with the one

The method of iterated resolvents is used to obtain an effective Hamiltonian for neighbouring qubits in the Kane solid state quantum computer. In contrast to the adiabatic gate processes inherent in the Kane proposal we show that free evolution of th

The renormalization of the effective QCD-Hamiltonian theory for the quark-antiquark channel is performed in terms of a renormalized or fixed-point Hamiltonian that leads to subtracted dynamical equations. The fixed point-Hamiltonian brings the renorm

By their very nature, field-theoretical Hamiltonians are derived in momentum representation. To solve the corresponding integro-differential equations is more difficult than to solve the simpler differential equations in configuration space (`Schr\"o

We consider the 1+1 dimensional N = (2,2) supersymmetric matrix model which is obtained by dimensionally reducing N = 1 super Yang-Mills from four to two dimensions. The gauge groups we consider are U(Nc) and SU(Nc), where Nc is finite but arbitrary.
