In this work we apply a phase-shifting interferometry (PSI) to evaluate the reconstruction of complex-valued holograms displayed onto a phase-only spatial light modulator (SLM). The interferometer is vibration-free since it uses a common-path polariz

Three-dimensional object recognition with scale and rotation changes is addressed. The recognition method is described in terms of correlations between spherical surfaces. Tridimensionality is codified into range images. We used the phase Fourier tra

A new method for pattern recognition that is invariant under changes of position, orientation, intensity, and scale is presented. The centroids of objects provide unique points that are related to the energy distribution. For obtaining more such uniq

We present a method based on an orthonormal vector space basis representation to detect camouflaged targets in natural environments. Because the method is intensity invariant we detect camouflage targets independently of the illumination conditions.

From the point of view of vector spaces, intensity invariant pattern recognition corresponds to identifying vectors independently of their length, which means that such methods consist primarily on measuring angles between vectors invector spaces. We
