We investigate a milli-joule level near-infrared 1.5 µm optical vortex parametric oscillator based on KTA crystal. The maximum vortex output energy of 2.04 mJ is obtained with an optical to optical conversion efficiency of 10%.

We investigate a milli-joule level near-infrared MgO:PPLN optical parametric oscillator. The maximum near-infrared 1.5 μm output energy reached 5.6 mJ at the pump energy of 22.5 mJ, corresponding to a conversion efficiency of 25%.

We propose a novel experimental scheme to generate high energy, broad tunable optical vortices across a mid-infrared wavelength range. The wavelength tunability of the vortex output is realized, with the tuning range of 2.8-4.8 µm.
