BackgroundEmbedding evidenced-based programs (EBPs) like PEARLS outside clinical settings can help reduce inequities in access to depression care. Trusted community-based organizations (CBOs) reach older adults who are underserved; however, PEARLS ad

Widespread overuse of the herbicide glyphosate, the active ingredient in RoundUp®, has led to the evolution of glyphosate-resistant weed biotypes, some of which persist by overproducing the herbicide's target enzyme, 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phospha

The theory of parametric amplification by a series of unbiased Josephson junctions is presented. The various regimes of operation are explored. This device is in many ways different from the usual varactor parametric amplifier. In particular, a very

Planar antenna arrays have been developed at 140 GHz using twin-dipole elements. The initial systems have been fabricated using a hybrid approach with beam lead Schottky GaAs diodes mounted on quartz substrates. Heterodyne measurements of subelement

We have observed an electronic gain of 12 dB at 10 GHz in a parametric amplifier whose nonlinear element is a series of unbiased Anderson‐Dayem microbridges. The bandwidth was measured to be 1 GHz and the noise temperature to be less than 20 K.

Integrals over the observed spectrum of interstellar extinction to 9 μm–1 are related to known laboratory properties of specific compounds. Using Lα hydrogen densities and cosmic abundance ratios, many suggested grain materials can be eliminated.

A number of applications of millimeter waves can benefit from development of low-cost, planar antenna elements, which can be combined into either phased arrays or arrays with imaging properties. Such applications range from communication, navigation
