We report two-photon resonance fluorescence of an individual semiconductor artificial atom. By non-linearly driving a single quantum dot via a two-photon transition, we probe the linewidth of the two-photon processes and show that, similar to their s

We report Coulomb mediated hybridization of excitonic states in optically active InGaAs quantum dot molecules. By probing the optical response of an individual quantum dot molecule as a function of the static electric field applied along the molecula

We measure time correlators of a spin qubit in an optically active quantum dot beyond the second order. Such higher-order correlators are shown to be directly sensitive to pure quantum effects that cannot be explained within the classical framework.

We report the subpicosecond initialization of a single heavy hole spin in a self-assembled quantum dot with $g98.5%$ fidelity and without external magnetic field. Using an optically addressable charge and spin storage device we tailor the relative el

The mechanisms of decoherence in solid-state spin qubits subject to low magnetic fields turn out to be more complex than previously expected as an additional fast relaxation stage has now been identified. The control of solid-state qubits requires a

We investigate integer and fractional quantum Hall states in quantum point contacts (QPCs) of different geometries, defined in AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructures employing different doping and screening techniques. We find that, even in the highest mobilit
