Observations that require large physical instrument dimensions and/or a considerable amount of cryogens, as it is for example the case for high spatial resolution far infrared astronomy, currently still face technological limits for their execution f

A stellar occultation by Pluto was observed on 6 June 2020 with the 1.3-m and 3.6-m telescopes located at Devasthal, Nainital, India, using imaging systems in the I and H bands, respectively. From this event, we derive a surface pressure for Pluto's

'Lockdown' periods in response to COVID-19 have provided a unique opportunity to study the impacts of economic activity on environmental pollution (e.g. NO$_2$, aerosols, noise, light). The effects on NO$_2$ and aerosols have been very noticeable and

From CCD observations carried out with different telescopes, we present short-term photometric measurements of the large trans-Neptunian object Varuna in 10 epochs, spanning around 19 years. We observe that the amplitude of the rotational light-curve

The study of the visible colours of the trans-Neptunian objects opened a discussion almost 20 years ago which, in spite of the increase in the amount of available data, seems far from subside. Visible colours impose constraints to the current theorie

The centaur 95P/(2060) Chiron is showing comet-like activity since its discovery, but the mass-loss mechanisms triggering its activity remained unexplained. Although the collision rates in the centaur region are expected to be very low, and impacts a

2007OR10 is currently the third largest known dwarf planet in the transneptunian region, with an effective radiometric diameter of ~1535 km. It has a slow rotation period of ~45 h that was suspected to be caused by tidal interactions with a satellite
