A Dyella -like bacterium was previously isolated from the planthopper Hyalesthes obsoletus (Hemiptera). Based on its 16S rRNA gene sequence, strain DHoT was assigned to the family Rhodanobacteraceae with Dyella and Frateuria as its closest relatives.
