Electron drift velocities and the electron attachment coefficients for electronegative impurities are measured in liquid argon-nitrogen mixtures. It is shown that nitrogen molecules have no electronegativity.

Incidence directivity of fluxes of 1.836 and 3.26 MeV γ -quanta has been measured with an ionization chamber on liquid Ar and CH 4 . The results obtained agree satisfactorily with Monte Carlo calculations.

A flat liquid-argon pulse ionization chamber having a useful volume equal to 11 and with 4.5 cm wide grid-cathode gap has been developed. 6.5% energy resolution was obtained upon irradiation of the chamber by γ-quanta of 1.836 MeV energy.
