Actinic keratosis is a precursor for squamous cell skin cancer. Hence, it is important to treat. For single actinic keratoses, cryo surgery is recommended. For widespread actinic keratoses, imiquimod, photodynamic therapy (PDT) or 5-FU may be used. '
