In this paper we study numerical problems arising in solving the single mode gyrotron equation. Using the method of finite differences analytical and numerical solutions are obtained. Quasistationary solutions and corresponding eigenvalues and eigenf

The project of a third harmonic CW gyrotron with an output frequency of 1.185 THz (wavelength about $\pmb{250\ \mu}\mathbf{m}$ ) and an output power of 100–200 W, intended for DNP/NMR spectroscopy applications is described. The project based on the

The gyrotron is a microwave source whose operation is based on the stimulated cyclotron radiation of electrons oscillating in a static magnetic field. Powerful gyrotrons can be used to heat nuclear fusion plasma. In addition, they have found a wide u

A hysteresis model is used to describe experimental data on sawtooth crash in the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak. The model is based on hysteresis which arises due to the fact that the value of the current density gradient (approximated for the H-mode dischar

In this paper we investigate non-complete sawtooth reconnection in the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak. Such reconnection phenomena are associated with internal m/n = 1/1 kink mode which does not vanish after the crash phase (as would be the case for complete
