Adaptation ex vitro is strongly stressful for microplants. Plant-growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) help to increase the adaptation potential of microplants transplanted from test tubes into the natural environment. We investigated the mechanisms

Water deficits inhibit plant growth and decrease crop productivity. Remedies are needed to counter this increasingly urgent problem in practical farming. One possible approach is to utilize rhizobacteria known to increase plant resistance to abiotic

Callus tissue is a popular tool in modern plant breeding and biotechnology. Macromolecules of plant-growth-promoting rhizobacteria can be beneficial for callus morphogenesis. We compared the effects of the lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) of three Azospiri

We investigated the effect of inoculation with the plant-growth-promoting rhizobacterium Azospirillum brasilense Sp245 under aeroponic conditions on the quality and performance of minitubers of potato (Solanum tuberosum L. cvs. Nevsky and Kondor). In

The response of potato microplants to Azospirillum inoculation is highly variable both in vitro and ex vitro. Plant inoculation with plant-growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) is widely used to increase the effectiveness of clonal micropropagation.

The effect of A. brasilense Sp245 and indoleacetic acid (IAA) on microplants of 10 potato cultivars in in vitro culture was studied. Significant genotypic differences in the growth-stimulating effect of bacteria and IAA on plants were established.
