We prove that there exists a gradient expanding Ricci soliton asymptotic to any given cone over the product of a round sphere and a Ricci flat manifold. In particular we obtain asymptotically conical expanding Ricci solitons with positive scalar curv

We prove the existence of three non-round, non-isometric Einstein metrics with positive scalar curvature on the sphere $S^{10}.$ Previously, the only even-dimensional spheres known to admit non-round Einstein metrics were $S^6$ and $S^8.$

Abstract Background The underlying mechanisms of post-COVID syndrome (PCS) are still not fully understood. While pre-existing conditions have been described as a risk factor for severe PCS in the general population, data specific to different occupat

Abstract Objectives N95 or Type II filtering face pieces (FFP2) are often worn during work hours or on public transportation to prevent airborne infection. The aim of this randomized controlled crossover study is to assess the impact of FFP2 induced

Abstract Aims Cancer therapy-related cardiac dysfunction (CTRCD) is a dreaded complication of anthracycline therapy. CTRCD most frequently appears in patients with cardiovascular risk factors (CVR) or known cardiovascular disease. However, limited da

In the 1930s, H. Hopf conjectured that a closed, even-dimensional manifold of positive sectional curvature has positive Euler characteristic. We show this under the additional assumption of an isometric $T^4$-action on the manifold, improving from pr

Abstract Concerns are repeatedly raised about possible adverse respiratory effects of wearing filtering face pieces (FFP) during physical activity. This study compared the impact of FFP type 2 (NF95) on pulmonary function, blood gas values, metabolis
