Abstract The ATR kinase, which coordinates cellular responses to DNA replication stress, is also essential for the proliferation of normal unstressed cells. Although its role in the replication stress response is well defined, the mechanisms by which

SAMHD1 has a dNTPase-independent resection function in genome maintenance. Here the authors show that SAMHD1 is deacetylated at conserved K354 by SIRT1 to facilitate direct binding with ssDNA to promote DNA end resection and homologous recombination.

Abstract Poly ADP-ribose polymerase (PARP) inhibitors are promising targeted therapy for epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) with BRCA mutations or defective homologous recombination (HR) repair. However, reversion of BRCA mutation and restoration of HR

Ribonucleoside monophosphates are incorporated by DNA polymerases into double-stranded DNA. Here, the authors use ribose-seq and Ribose-Map techniques to reveal that signatures and patterns of ribonucleotide incorporation in yeast mitochondrial and n
