Frequency-bin qubits get the best of time-bin and dual-rail encodings, but require external modulators and pulse shapers to build arbitrary states. Here, instead, the authors work directly on-chip by controlling the interference of biphoton amplitude

We investigate spontaneous parametric downconversion (SPDC) in a waveguide array supporting two strongly coupled topological guided modes. We show that it is possible to generate photon pairs that are hyper-entangled in energy and path. We study the

We study spontaneous parametric down conversion in a waveguide array supporting two strongly coupled topological guided modes. Quantum correlations in the generated hyper-entangled quantum state are robust due to topological protection.

We demonstrate emission of photon pairs from a Silicon integrated microres onator under electrical self-pumping. By controlling excitation conditions, the photon pairs are time-energy entangled, with fringe visibility in a Franson experiment of 93.9%

We study spontaneous four-wave mixing in waveguide arrays supporting topologically protected modes. We clarify the mechanisms associated with the topological pro-tection of the quantum correlations of the generated photon pairs.

The efficient generation of non-classical light at the micro- and nanoscale is central to the development of quantum technologies. Integrated photonic structures offer new opportunities for increasing the generation efficiency and control of the quan

We study the generation of Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states of three path-encoded photons. Inspired by the seminal work of Bouwmeester et al. [1] on polarization-entangled GHZ states, we find a corresponding path representation for the photon

We present an approach to the generation of path-encoded Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states in a single chip, by interfering four integrated microring resonators in which degenerate spontaneous four-wave mixing takes place.
