Resonant and quasi-resonant dc-dc converters have been introduced to increase the operating frequency of switching power converters, with advantages in terms of performance, cost, and/or size. In this paper, we focus on class-E resonant topologies, a

The scapho-capitate or Fenton syndrome is characterized by an associate fracture of the scaphoid and capitate with rotation of 90° or 180° of the capitate’s head. We report a case of this syndrome which occurred in a fifteen years old professiona

Tibial tubercle avulsion fractures (TTAF) are uncommon condition in children and adolescents. These lesions may be misdiagnosed and consequently not properly treated. Reduction and fixation is indicated if displacement is higher than 2mm or if the ex

Background and aim of the work: Radius and ulna fractures are the most common long bone fractures in children and adolescents. The majority of these injuries involve the distal metaphyseal portion of the radius associated or not to physeal plate inju

Background and aim of the work: Medial epicondyle fractures of the humerus account for 11–20% of all elbow injuries in children and in 30–55% of cases they are associated with an elbow dislocation. Undisplaced fractures are usually treated conser

In this article, we propose a methodology to create a through-the-barrier bidirectional communication channel between the two sides of an isolated class-E resonant dc-dc converter. Our methodology is innovative since communication occurs through the

We present a new approach to design resonant dc-dc converters, that allows us to achieve both a more accurate implementation and a simpler architecture, by reducing the number of required passive components. The approach is applied to a class-E topol
