Biomimetic, lamellar, and highly porous transition-metal carbide (MXene) embedded cellulose nanofiber (CNF) aerogels are assembled by a facile bidirectional freeze-drying approach. The biopolymer aerogels have large-scale, parallel-oriented micromete
