Biological tissue discrimination is relevant in guided surgery. Nerve identification is critical to avoid potentially severe collateral damage. Fluorescence imaging by oxazine 4-perchlorate (O4P) has been recently proposed. In this work, the cytotoxi
LPDs – «Linked to Penumbra» Discharges or EEG Correlate of Excitotoxicity: A Review Based Hypothesis
Periodic lateralized epileptiform discharges (PLEDs) or lateralized periodic discharges (LPDs) are a well-known variant of pathological EEG activity. However, the mechanisms underpinning the appearance of this pattern are not completely understood. T

Language provides a rich source of information about other people’s thoughts and feelings. Consequently, delayed access to language may influence conceptual development in Theory of Mind (ToM). We use functional magnetic resonance imaging and behav

In routine studies of sensory nerve conduction, only fibers e7 µm in diameter are analyzed. The late components which originate from thinner fibers are not detected. This explains why a normal sensory action potential (SAP) may be recorded in patien

Lateral mass screws combined with rods are the standard method for posterior cervical spine subaxial fixation. Several techniques have been described, among which the most used are Roy Camille, Magerl, Anderson and An. All of them are based on tridim

Conclusion: With half-sized cupula, the semicircular canal nerve potentials decreased under slow stimulus, thus potentially leading to reduced caloric response. This also suggests that shrunken cupula may cause dizziness because of its hypermobility.

Studies of individual neurons in area MT have traditionally investigated their sensitivity to constant speeds. We investigated acceleration sensitivity in MT neurons by comparing their responses to constant steps and linear ramps in stimulus speed. S
