Background In chronic lymphocytic leukemia lenalidomide causes striking immune activation, possibly leading to clearance of tumor cells. We conducted this study to investigate the mechanism of action of lenalidomide and the basis for its unique toxic

Survival of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells in vivo is supported by the tissue microenvironment, which includes components of the extracellular matrix. Interactions between tumor cells and the extracellular matrix are in part mediated by CD4

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), an incurable malignancy of mature B lymphocytes, involves blood, bone marrow, and secondary lymphoid organs such as the lymph nodes (LN). A role of the tissue microenvironment in the pathogenesis of CLL is hypothes

Abstract 4628 Introduction: Autoimmune cytopenias (AIC) are frequently seen in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is most common, although immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and pure red cell aplasia (PRCA

Abstract 355 In-vitro studies suggest that chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells depend on the tissue microenvironment. Different molecules and cell types have been reported to enhance the proliferation and survival of CLL cells. The presence of C
