A novel passivation strategy via the coordination between porphyrin derivatives and perovskite ionic defects is reported and demonstrated to enhance the nonlinear optical performance of perovskite materials.

A covalently-linked SnS2–Por nanohybrid with enhanced optical limiting performance is reported. The boost in optical limiting can be attributed to the effective charge transfer between the SnS2 nanosheets and the grafted porphyrin moieties.
