Accurate whole-farm or herd-level measurements of livestock methane emissions are necessary for anthropogenic greenhouse gas inventories and to evaluate mitigation strategies. A controlled methane (CH4) release experiment was performed to determine i

Determination of trace gas emissions from sources is critical for understanding and regulating air quality and climate change. Here, we demonstrate a method for rapid quantification of the emission rate of multiple gases from simple and complex sourc

We present an open-path mid-infrared dual-comb spectroscopy (DCS) system capable of precise measurement of the stable water isotopologues H216O and HD16O. This system ran in a remote configuration at a rural test site for 3.75 months with 60 % uptime

We performed 7.5 weeks of path-integrated concentration measurements of CO2, CH4, H2O, and HDO over the city of Boulder, Colorado. An open-path dual-comb spectrometer simultaneously measured time-resolved data across a reference path, located near

We present the first quantitative intercomparison between two open-path dual-comb spectroscopy (DCS) instruments which were operated across adjacent 2 km open-air paths over a 2-week period. We used DCS to measure the atmospheric absorption spectr

The neutron longitudinal and transverse asymmetries ${A}_{1}^{n}$ and ${A}_{2}^{n}$ have been extracted from deep inelastic scattering of polarized electrons by a polarized $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ target at incident energies of 19.42, 22.66, and 25.51 GeV.

We have studied the frequency shift in the Rb electron-paramagnetic-resonance (EPR) line due to the presence of nuclear polarized $^{3}\mathrm{He}$. By measuring the resonant frequency in a cylindrical cell oriented both parallel and perpendicular to

We derive the nuclear-spin relaxation rate of gaseous $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ due to the magnetic-dipole interaction between the $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ nuclear spins. This dipolar relaxation rate is numerically evaluated for temperatures from 0.1 K to 550 K. At
