Surface properties of monomolecular films of chlorophyll (Chi), plastocyanin (Pc), cytochrome c (Cyt) and ferridoxin (Fd) were measured at a heptane-water interface. Mixed films of Chl and the other components were examined in darkness and in light.

An apparatus for the measurement of bulk densities of powders in vacuo and in different vapours with continuous tapping

An apparatus is described which allows bulk densities of tapped powders to be determined in air, vacuum and in the presence of controlled pressures of various gases and vapours. Typical results are quoted.
